About Me

Stealth Moonlighter

The idea for this site, StealthMoonligher.com, has been around for a long time. I have been a side hustler since the late 1980s. Back then, it was called “moonlighting,” and you could be fired if your boss found out about it.

The trick was to make money on the side while doing all your day job duties at or even above standard. Back in those days, though, one person had one job to do. Everyone was responsible for just one assignment at a time.

And then the ’90s happened. Suddenly, slacking off became a “thing.” Your co-workers were expected to take up the slack. Company loyalty was a thing of the past. Job-hopping was all the rage, and you usually did that because you could get more money.

Some of us, though, decided we wanted to work for ourselves. We became the entrepreneurs next door, peppering your community like pod people in a slick B-movie. We meant (and still mean) no harm; we just want to be our own boss. Don’t bother to take us to your leader; we will not comply!

Won’t you join us? Extra points if you’re a U.S. senior citizen with a go-getter spirit.
